Is the Phoenix right for you?

If you’re after a reliable vet Crush that covers the essentials properly without overcomplicating things, the Phoenix Crush is built to get the job done.

Designed for farmers regularly doing veterinary work, AI, tagging, weighing, and calf mothering duties, the Phoenix gives you practical vet access and smooth cattle handling in one solid setup. Split side gates on both sides provide safe access where you need it most, while the heavy-duty slam latches and smooth sliding systems are built for everyday farm use.

The head bail can be operated from the front and the rear of the Crush via the two sets of handles provided. Operating from the rear, out of the line of site of cattle is the predominant option.

Up front, the diamond-shaped neck yoke helps reduce excessive head movement once cattle are secured, making handling calmer and safer for both you and your stock. We can also provide a 'neck yoke insert' for calves that require a lower profile, on request.

Each Phoenix Crush also comes fitted with an off-side drafting handle and is fully compatible with Gallagher and Tru-Test equipment, making it easy to integrate into your existing cattle handling setup. If you want a tough, practical vet Crush designed around real on-farm use, the Phoenix was built for it.

Phoenix Crush includes

Every Onefarm Crush is fully hot dipped galvanised after welding, not before. That matters because it means the entire Crush, including welds, joins, and hard-to-reach areas, is coated inside and out for maximum protection against rust and corrosion. It’s built to handle harsh New Zealand conditions, from muddy yards to coastal properties, without the constant maintenance and repainting that comes with lower-grade finishes. The result is a tougher, longer-lasting Crush that stays stronger for longer.

The Phoenix Crush is designed with full vet access on both sides of the Crush, making veterinary work safer, faster, and far less stressful. Split side gates and top access points allow you to reach exactly where you need without putting yourself in awkward or dangerous positions around cattle. Whether you’re tagging, injecting, pregnancy testing, or treating animals, the layout gives you better control and safer handling throughout the job.

All Onefarm crushes come standard with heavy duty rubber matting bolted to the floor. It's the superior surface for cattle handling. Cleats grip hooves as cattle steam in, preventing slipping and keeping them settled. Softer underfoot than steel or fibreglass grating, and it kills the noise. A simple addition that makes a real difference.

Every Onefarm crush comes with an offside drafting kit included as standard. No additional cost, no optional extras. Draft cattle directly out of the offside of the crush without breaking stride. It's the kind of feature that should come with every crush, so we made sure it does.

Five reasons to choose a onefarm crush

01

Get accurate stock weights

One of the main benefits of using a crush for weighing vs. a weigh platform is the accurate weights you get out of a crush. Because you weigh the whole crush and the beast inside it, it doesn't matter if stock are leaning up against the side of the crush.

02

Safer for you and your stock

Smart features like the squeeze, anti-backing system, and diamond shaped neck yoke keeps cattle settled and reduce the risk of things going sideways.

03

More control, wherever you stand

We've tried all sorts of locking systems and we've come full circle back to the heavy duty ratchet lock. We use a dual pronged lock, 20mm steel plate and deep teeth to provide complete control when bailing a cattle beast. No slipping, no releasing. Pure strength using an tried and tested locking system.

04

Faster, more efficient cattle work

Better flow, easier access, and less mucking around means you get through jobs quicker and get back to everything else waiting on the list.

05

Built to last (and stay that way)

Hot dipped galvanising and tough components mean no constant repairs or maintenance. Just a crush that keeps doing its job year after year.

07

We've tried numerous locking designs over the years and have come full circle back to the one design we know works, and we've beefed it up. 20mm thick railway iron strength steel with 2 locking prongs. Hold cattle safely and reliably.

08

Off-Side Drafting Handle

Set your system up to suit your workflow, making drafting smoother and reducing double-handling.

Operate the head bail from the front or the rear of the crush. Front (for up close control), Rear (for operation out of the line of site - most common).
